MEMBERSHIP / MEMBERSHIP ADVERTISING PACKAGES

4.  My password hasn't arrived yet?  Answer  -  With current spam technology often emails returning passwords can end up in your Junk Mail folder, so it is a good idea to check this folder.  If it still hasn't arrived, then call us 07 3889 9607 (business hours only).

 

5.  I am a single user, can I buy more than one ad?  Answer  -  Yes, you can!  As a single user you have access to only one advertisement immediately online after registration, but when making your payment, please note that you wish to purchase additional advertisements, send the correct payment to cover all ads you wish to purchase and we will increase your available ads on receipt of your payment.

 

6.  I have used all my current available ads, how do I purchase more without reregistering?   Answer  -  Easy, send us an email with your membership number and number of ads required.  We will forward you an invoice for additional ads and upon payment of the invoice, we will increase your available ads.

 

7.  Can I keep unused ads?  Answer  -  Yes you can.  Your ads never expire, so when more parts come to hand, your remaining ads are there waiting for you to use.

 

 

PAYMENTS

1.  How do I pay and what forms of payment are acceptable?    Answer - Payment is by cheque or direct deposit only.  On joining, you will be issued with a logon password which allows you access to full details about payment options and your personal information.

 

2.  How long do I have before I need to pay?   Answer - Your initial membership is a temporary membership. For membership to be validated and your ads to remain in the database, your payment must be received by us within 14 days of date of joining.

 

 

ADDING AND REMOVING PARTS

1.  How do I add a Part?    Answer - Logon to the member's only area of mybusparts using your password.  From here you will be presented with a menu.  Choose either 'Add Part for SALE'  or 'Post a WANTED Part'.  Enter as much detail as is known to you.  If in doubt of Model, we would suggest you leave this blank to avoid restricting others' search results; enter the possible make in either 'Details' or 'Comments'.

 

2.  How do I remove a part?   Answer -  Logon to the member's only area of mybusparts using your password.  From here you will be presented with a menu.  Choose 'See My Parts'.  Choose the relevant part by clicking on 'Select' in the REMOVE/SOLD column.  You will be taken to another screen at which time you may mark the item as 'Removed' or 'Sold'.

 

3.  Who can add and remove parts from my parts list?  Answer - You or your representative may add or mark parts as sold or removed from sale at anytime.  mybusparts.com.au administration is also authorised to mark parts as removed should the membership become invalid.

 

4.  Can I access my parts after submitting them to the database?  Answer - No.  Only mybusparts.com.au administration is able to access and edit parts once they are submitted to the database.  This protects all users from unwanted interference by outside parties.

 

5.  How do I correct a mistake in my ad after it is placed?    Answer - Email us with the correction, and we will make the alteration for you as quickly as possible.  

 

6.  After I have removed a part can I get it back?    Answer - If you have accidentally marked a part for removal, you may contact us by email and we will rectify the error as quickly as possible.  Only mybusparts administration can edit a part once it has been marked as 'Removed or Sold'.

 

7.  How do I ensure visitors to the site can find my part?   Answer - By completing all required fields, you have a good start! By adding additional information into the 'Comments' field, you are giving prospective purchasers more of a chance to find you; remember it is only 100 characters long, so choose the wording carefully.  We have also created a Quick Search tab, so that the user can find items containing just a string of characters.

 

8.  What is the difference between a Part for Sale and a Wanted Part?   Answer - Parts for Sale are those that you wish to advertise for sale and are looking for a prospective purchaser, where Wanted Parts are those which you are seeking to buy for use yourself.

 

9.  Where do I include the price?  Answer - You don't!  The price is something between you and the prospective purchaser and is not advertised on the website at all.

 

10.  I had to walk away from my computer and now I am back the site wants me to logon again, what is happening?  Answer - While this may seem annoying, it is to protect you from anyone else hopping into your password protected area of the website.  Should you leave the protected area inactive for a period of time, it will automatically lock you out and you will need to re-enter your password.

1.  How do I contact the part owner?    Answer - All part owners will have provided some form of contact details, whether email or phone.  Click on Details in the Owner column of the search results to find them.

 

 

SEARCH PROBLEMS

1.  How does the Search form work?   Answer  -  There are no required fields on the 'Search' page.  You can enter details in any of the fields to assist your search.  Once you have entered details just hit the 'Search' button and a list appears on the bottom of the page with full details.

 

2.  Can I use a partial word to search?   Answer  -  Yes, you certainly can.  Example, instead of typing caliper, you can enter cal in the description field and the search will give you any item listed that contains the letters cal in the description field.

 

3.  How do I narrow my search?    Answer  -  Instead of filling every field, just use one or two fields.  If you need to narrow it down further, then use another field.
